A Migrant Family
Published in Library Binding by Lerner Publications Company (June, 1992)
Author: Larry Dane Brimner
Average review score:

A real eye opener to Migrant life in California.
I was amazed at the poeverty level of the Migrant workers in California. I was not aware that any Migrant families actually lived in housing the way these families did. This is a must read for every one to truly understand what Migrant life is all about.

More Easy Piano Classics (Learn to Play Series)
Published in Library Binding by Edu Dev (January, 1998)
Author: Emma Danes
Average review score:

Good for an intermediate student, nice illustrations
This book begins with a short history of music, describing how different types of 'classical' written music evolved from the 14-15th century to the present century. Then, it has one page samples of the different types of classical music (opera, hymns, descriptive, spiritual,..) along with a brief description of the author, or the music. I liked the diagrams that illustrated these descriptions. In the back of the book are hints for playing the pieces. This book is good for an intermediate student, and gives a nice overview of classic music.

Nana's Hog (Rookie Readers. Level B)
Published in School & Library Binding by Children's Book Press (September, 1998)
Authors: Larry Dane Brimner and Susan Miller
Average review score:

I liked it.
When nana rides into town, many things happen. In this book you follow a little girl's nana through town on her "hog". Incidences such as the "Three sisters trike shop" give this book alot of humor. I give this book a ***** rating and would give more if it was allowed. Nana is like a "60 year old 20 year old". Of course, since I know the illustrator I would have to be partial, but I think illustration mkes the book;)

a comprehensive and thorough guide to properties nationally
The level of information is extremely high for all parts of the country and gives great information on the specifics of individual properties. Reviewed it at an inn in New Heaven and sent away for it immediately. I compared entries to actual experiences and found it exquisitely accurate.

New Mansions for New Men
Published in Hardcover by Borgo Pr (September, 1985)
Author: Dane, Rudhyar
Average review score:

Sorry the title is a bit dated
For students of Dane Rudhyar (we all are but we don't all know it) and his Astrology of Personality, this little book is a must read. Rudhyar, the musician philosopher humanist expander of consciousness and understander of feminine and masculine relationship, has waxed poetic. This book is poetry. Almost music itself and flooded with light and understanding. Some a bit esoteric but made accessible through lyrics. Here's another book that should never be out of print. It's true the title sounds a bit exclusive but, well, since we are all evolving, sometimes we look back and we might not say the same things the same way ...

Poets know that

Roxane, the Blue Dane

Author: Alice Kingham-Lachevre

Roxane, the Blue Dane
'Roxane, the Blue Dane'is an exciting book written thru the eyes and voice of 'Roxane', the dog. It takes you to a calmer, gentler time, in the past century......you meet many people and animals, as the mistress of 'Roxane' goes throughout the countryside painting portraits, always taking her, along. The illistrations are beautiful and many. I received the book from the mailman, and before I got in the house,I had already read 38 pages. Alice Kingham-Lachevre, is not only an artist, but a colorful story teller. This book is a must for any animal lover or a person interested, in the life of an artist.
